In 2011, our firm challenged the King Conservation District assessment on constitutional grounds on behalf of the class of people who had paid this assessment.  The parties reached a settlement and the King County Superior Court previously approved the settlement in 2012.  The parties have addressed different ways of handling the settlement funds and have agreed to an amendment of the settlement agreement.  The Superior Court has scheduled a hearing for December 9, 2016, 10:00 a.m., at the Regional Justice Center in Kent, Courtroom 4A, for consideration of any objections to the proposed amendment of the settlement.
